Root Canal Treatment, Single Sitting
Root canal treatment is a dental procedure that relieves pain caused by an infected or abscessed tooth. During the root canal process, the inflamed and irritated pulp is removed. The surfaces inside the tooth are then cleaned and disinfected, and a filling is placed to seal the space. Root canal treatment is not painful and can save a tooth that might otherwise have to be removed completely. The concept of single sitting RCT is based on entombing theory, which means removing large numbers of microorganism during cleaning and shaping and remaining bacteria entombed by root canal obturation by which they miss all essential elements to survive.
